Air Force Reserve F-16 jets deploy to RAF Lakenheath for training.

After the recent deployment of Texans F-16 fighters in Romania, the United States has sent a new Fighting Falcons Squadron to Europe.

On May 5, 2019, U.S. Air Force F-16C aircraft, aircrew and support personnel from Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida, arrived at RAF Lakenheath, England, to participate in a Flying Training Deployment with U.S. Air Forces in Europe units as well as partners and allies in the region.

During the deployment, the F-16s will conduct Dissimilar Air Combat Training in order to enhance combat readiness, exercise the ability to operate from a deployed location, strengthen partnerships and demonstrate U.S. commitment to regional security.
