Babcock Canada, Leonardo Canada join forces for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training Program

Babcock Canada and Leonardo Canada announced on Friday that they have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to jointly pursue Canada's Future Aircrew Training Program (FAcT) and create a Canadian joint venture.
This partnership between two companies with a strong footprint in military pilot training aims to offer the FAcT program the experience and innovation of two global players, each of which has over 70 years of flight crew training experience delivered around the world.

The FAcT program was launched by the Government of Canada to provide the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) with a 20-year aircrew training program that includes aircraft, ground based training systems, civilian instructors, as well as other essential services, such as air traffic control, aircraft and airfield maintenance, accommodation, and food services.
Like all modernizing air forces, the RCAF needs an advanced training solution based on cutting-edge technology, focused on early streaming and better production standards at lower costs. Babcock and Leonardo say they can offer a modern and comprehensive solution drawing on their long experience as leading providers of civil and military fixed-wing, rotary-wing and mission training services.
