B-52 Stratofortress and B-1 Lancer are the candidates for a "show of force" to Moscow.

USAF Bombers

According to, the U.S. Air Force will send some bombers to UK for exercises and show their presence to Russia.

The Air Force will send some of its bombers to England in June to assure allies and deter adversaries in Europe, the general in charge of Air Force Global Strike Command said Wednesday.

The US general has not specified which types of aircraft will be sent to Europe but according to the list of participants in RIAT 2017, the B-52 Stratofortress and B-1 Lancer will certainly be among the candidates.

Also last year, between August and September, the USAF sent one B-52 and two B-1s to Fairford to attend some exercises, including Ample Strike in Czech Republic. They also took part in NATO Air Days 2016 in Ostrava.

In recent months the tensions between United States and Moscow have worsened, especially for disagreements in Syria's actions, in the past few weeks US has already sent the new stealth F-35A fighter jets to Europe as a "show of force".
