Embraer new orders military aircraft

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced in December 2024 that it has signed 3 new contracts for military aircraft with undisclosed customers. They include 10 Super Tucano light attack and trainer aircraft and 2 C-390 transport aircraft.

The first contract was signed on December 27, 2024. It includes the sale of two C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft, a full training and support package, as well as the supply of spare parts.

These aircraft will be specially configured to meet the requirements of tactical troop and vehicle transport, humanitarian aid, disaster management and medical evacuation.

The new customer is the 10th nation to select the C-390 after Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovakia.

The second order was announced by Embraer on December 30, 2024. It is a firm order for six A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft. This order will be included in the 4Q24 backlog and deliveries are scheduled for 2026.

These aircraft will be equipped with advanced capabilities to perform missions such as battlefield air interdiction, close air support, maritime patrol, maritime strike and other territorial defense operations.

The third order was announced on the last day of 2024. It involves the sale of four A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft to an undisclosed customer in Africa. These aircraft will be used to perform a wide range of missions such as border surveillance, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), close air support, counterinsurgency and advanced flight training.
