The Embraer KC-390 "PT-ZNG" military transport aircraft landed in Greece on Sunday to perform demo flights for the Greek Air Force.
The aircraft wearing the livery of the Brazilian Air Force flew to Athens after taking part in the daily flying display of the Paris Air Show 2023 last week.
The KC-390 aircraft performed two flights on Monday at the Elefsina Air Base, near Athens, which hosts the C-130 Hercules fleet of the Greek Air Force.
Embraer already introduced the KC-390 to Greece earlier this year. According to Ministry of Defense From Greece, "relevant officials" from the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) met on January 25 with Carla Salleron, director of business development and sales at Embraer. At the meeting, the executive presented information and capabilities on the C-390.
The Greek Air Force fleet currently includes nine Lockheed C-130s, in B and H versions, which have reached the end of their service life. According to local media, only one of the aircraft is currently operational.
