Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody took the opportunity of the recent trip to the Czech Republic by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and members of his government to push the sale of its new L-39NG training platform and offer industrial partnerships. Aero Vodochody said they recently welcomed the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Minister of Technology and Innovation László Palkovics, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Minister of Industry and Trade and Minister of Transport Karel Havlíček and Minister of Defence Lubomír Metnar.
The key point of the meeting of Hungarian and Czech ministers in Aero Vodochody was the deepening of cooperation in the defence industry in the Central European region. "We are pleased to host four top ministers of the Czech and Hungarian governments here today. This confirms that Aero is an important partner for both countries in ensuring their defence and security," said Jakub Hoda, Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of Aero Vodochody.
Hungarian and Czech ministers visited a production site, where they learned about overhauls and modernization options for L-39 and L-159 aircraft, and Aero Vodochody Airport, where they saw an acrobatic flight demonstration and then static display of the L-39NG.
Aero Vodochody aims to place its new L-39NG aircraft in Hungary and the Czech Republic as a suitable platform to meet the training needs of Hungarian and Czech Air Force pilots. During the visit, the company also showed guests a scale model of L-39NG with the markings of the Hungarian Air Force.
