On the morning of 25 July 2019, a Patrouille de France Alphajet suffered a mishap during the landing at Perpignan airport, France. The plane number 2 of the French aerobatic team slipped off the runway and its run ended at the edge of the national route D117, adjacent to the airport.
The PAF was returning from Saint-Cyprien, a few miles from Perpignan, where it had performed a rehearsal flight for the afternoon air show.
The pilot "Athos 2" ejected and suffered minor injuries. The causes of the accident are not yet clear.
