Civilian-guest accidentally ejected from French Rafale B fighter jet.

The "navigator" of a French Rafale B fighter plane was seriously injured due to an accident at the Saint-Dizier airbase, France, on March 20.

At approximately 1 PM, the modern combat aircraft was taking off to perform a training mission when the rear seat ejector was triggered. The pilot managed to safely land the plane despite the damage to the tail rudder.

The 64-year-old man, who does not belong to the armed forces, was thrown off the runway and suffered serious injuries, especially in his back. He was immediately hospitalized and is stable and conscious. According to a French officer, he is not life-threatening.

The pilot suffered cuts in his hands due to the breaking of the canopi. France has launched three investigations to clarify this rare and unusual accident.
