FRENCH NAVY RAFALE JETS TRAINED IN SWITZERLAND

French Navy Rafale train Switzerland
French Navy Rafale jets trained in Switzerland.

Four French Navy Rafales trained at the Meiringen air base, Switzerland, on June 20, 2018. The Swiss Army offered the French pilots the opportunity to complete their training by landing on a foreign Alpine airfield.

The standard instruction of Swiss pilots also includes navigation flights with landings abroad. The landing at the Meiringen military airfield is considered very challenging and it is highly appreciated by foreign air forces for training of this type. French jets came from Landvisiau, France.

These activities are conducted under the Agreement between the Swiss Federal Council and the Government of the French Republic concerning the common educational and training activities of the French Armed Forces and the Swiss Army.
