MiG-21 Display returns to RIAT.

A Romanian Air Force MiG-21 LanceR will return to the Air Tattoo flying display this summer! After an absence of 17 years, last displaying at RAF Cottesmore at the 2001 Air Tattoo and on static display at the 2005 show, the MiG 21 will make the journey to the UK to join RAF100 celebrations.

Romania operates a fleet of around 25 of the aircraft, which are slowly being replaced by F-16s purchased from Portugal.

In addition, Romania will send a C-27J Spartan to the static display.
