POLISH PILOT FLIES T-346 FOR FIST TIME

Polish Air Force M-346 Pilot at Galatina Air Base

Last March 2 at the italian military airport of Galatina, a pilot of the Polish Air Force flew for first time the advanced trainer jet T-346A .

It is part of the training process that Poland Air Force is conducting at the Italian Air Force 61st Wing for training its pilots to the T-346A.

Poland, who recently purchased the aircraft, has chosen Italy to enable their pilots on the new aircraft. When they will be qualified, will be able to train other instructors and students destined to tactical lines.

The Polish Officer has made its maiden flight with one of the test pilots of italian company Finmeccanica.

The activities began on November 30, and is divided into two phases: the first part is managed directly by Finmeccanica, on the ground, inside the Ground Based Training System, and in flight also.

Subsequently, the Polish Air Force personnel will be trained by the pilots of the 212th Flight Group of the 61st Wing.

Another important step for the 61st Wing in the internationalization process of the Flight School and the introduction of the T-346A in the steps of the military pilot training.

Currently the nations present in Galatina, in addition to Poland, are: Argentina, Austria, France, Greece, Kuwait, the Netherlands and Singapore, confirming the department as a niche of excellence in advanced training field to military flight.
